Community Health Information Tracking System (CHITS) Capability-building Program
The UP Manila National Telehealth Center is inviting health, IT professionals, faculty members of nursing and allied medical sciences and students to join its CHITS Capability-building Program. CHITS is a free and open source (FOSS) electronic health record system designed specifically for local government health centers in the Philippines. CHITS was created by Dr. Herman Tolentino through a grant from the International Development Research Centre of Canada. Since 2004, CHITS has been expanding to rural health units around the country. The training focuses on how users navigate and use CHITS and is applicable to all health professionals and students who are involved in Public Health.

OBJECTIVE
Recognize the value of having an electronic health record system in a health care facility to address and deliver health care needs of the community.
The seminar is intended for:
- City Health and Municipal Health Officers
- public health physicians, nurses, midwives
- doctors, nurses, dentists, midwives, and allied medical professionals
- faculty and students of health professions especially nursing
- engineers and software developers
