In an effort to achieve a comprehensive database of all the health care facilities in the country, the National Telehealth Center (NThC), in cooperation with DOH and Google, has aimed to map the entire country’s health care facilities by launching the first Geolocate4Health Contest.

On its final announcement, the grandwinner of an IPOD TOUCH is none other than the multi-month winner from College of Pharmacy, Jade Rodriguez, by labeling a grandtotal of 129 health facilities in our country using the googlemapmaker. Using Google Map Maker, all participants was able to pin and outline health care facilities (e.g. government hospitals, rural health units, lying-in centers, barangay health stations) in any areas in the Philippines.

We would like to extend our thanks to all participants and we hope that this contest inspired us to think of ways on how to improve the health care system of our beloved country.
